Come and join the free activities of the International Week!
 
A fun week organised for international and dutch students to get together with fellow students from all over the world! Experience different cultures and enjoy all the things Groningen has to offer!
 
The International Week is organised by five student associations in Groningen: Aegee, Sib, ESN, Dizkartes and Albertus. The goals of the International Week are: stimulating international and dutch students, especially from the University of Groningen and the Hanze University, to get to know each others' cultures; make students acquainted with the cultural diversity Groningen has to offer; and promote the integration of students with different cultural backgrounds.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! Interested in FREE stuff? The first 25 people to enter Vera on Tuesday evening (March 16, 8 PM) will be allowed FREE entrance! Moreover, Thursday night during the final Black & White party a FREE beerkegg will be opened! That's about 220 free beers!
 
How to sign up for the activities? You don't need to! Just come and join the others!
All activities are free, except the movie, which will cost € 3 + 1 euro for a month card at Vera.

	Opening! Hugo Grotius Lecture: Islam in perspective: towards post-islamism The Hugo Grotius Lecture will be held by Prof. dr.ir. Fouad Laroui. Fouad Laroui, author of On Islamism, will first give an analysis of some prejudices concerning islam. Subsequently, he will sketch his own views on how Islam should evolve in the future. Afterwards there will plenty of opportunity to ask questions and and a hopefully vivid discussion will follow which will be lead by Dr. Marjo Buitlelaar, teacher at the University of Groningen of contemporary Islam. So come and enrich your knowledge with this lecture! Starting at 8 PM at the SIB/NSG Building, Hereweg 1. Opening party! Kicking off the week with this truly international party! Location: Bar Pacific (Oosterstraat 67)! Don’t sign up, just be there! Starting at 10.30 PM
	Movie The new movie "Goodbye Solo" will be displayed. Starts at 8.30 PMLocation: Vera (Oosterstraat 44). The first 25 people to come in will be rewarded with FREE entrance. Live music with cool bands! Out-of-town band "Ape Not Mice" will come and play at "het Pakhuis" (location: Peperstraat 8-2), come and see what other bands will play! Time: 11 PM.
	Coffee & games Join at this freecoffee afternoon and try out some traditional Dutch games. Opens at Albertus (Brugstraat 8) at 12 AM). Join dinner with Albertus and Dizkartes fraternity students! This is called a "yearclubmix" where you can join a 'yearclub' from one of the fraternities of Albertus or Dizkartes and let you have dinner with them at their homes! A 'yearclub' consists out of either only boys or girls, and is about 7 - 14 members large. Meet up at Albertus at 6 PM! Party at Albertus! Albertus' own DJ's will turn the tables and let your body rock! Starting at 11 PM
	Pubquiz There will be a nice pubquiz today at fraternity Dizkartes! Starting at 8 PM. Closing themeparty!! Dress up in either black or white at this theme party at Dizkartes and start partying until you drop! FREE beerkegg!
